The particle size (grain size) refers to the size and size distribution of the methyl cellulose particles. Both affect the solubility of the products and therefore their properties in the various applications.
Depending on the grade of WalocelŪ methyl cellulose, the following particle sizes are available:
- granula G
- powder P
- fine powder PF
- rvery fine powder PP
The intended application needs to be taken into account when selecting a product with a particular particle size. Granular grades are used where WalocelŪ methyl cellulose has to be dissolved directly in water.
For use in building material systems where WalocelŪ methyl cellulose is added to a dry mix, powders with particle sizes P, PF or PP are the products to use.
